I guess you all are aware of my effort to create a theme park based on my RCT company called A&S(Austin & Scott). I've pretty much finished the construction of the entrance plaza, and our space section which is being sponsored by Nasa.

I'll be adding updates here as I progress the park each day but its really become a very very tranquil park with lots of trees and flowers and very intense coasters and great themeing.

Blast Off! which most of you have been reading about has been renamed Star Tours (Video will be evident as to why) and it is now complete.

Predator (the first flying coaster I made) has recieved a slight paint change with slight themeing around the station and has been renamed Space Shuttle Atlantis but Nasa has requested to rename it Challenger to pay tribute to the 1986 Shuttle tragedy. We will probably add a launch/drop tower and name it Space Shuttle Atlantis.

The final addition to the area was a wrap around monorail system that goes around the entire entrance plaza and the Nasa Rocket Center that allows you to rest your feet and get a awesome view from up above.

Without further adieu here is the final form of Star Tours:

Construction is wrapping up on the park and is expected to have a grand opening event soon. Nasa's Rocket Center has been open for previews while the rest of the park was under construction.

The park will feature 3 areas:

Nasa's Rocket Center
Nightmare Forest
Frontierland

Once the previews for the Rocket Center is over the guests will leave to finish up construction there and the rest of the park, and to adjust janitorial work zones and to add entertainers and security guards.

Frontierland has 2 large spaces left open to build the Twister Coaster and possibly another larger coaster or to relocate the A&S Offices and Labs.

The park has finally opened!

During the downtime to fire all 26 janitors and replace them with 135 new ones to cover the same area and placing a mechanic at each ride and each food court, I built a few new rides in frontierland in one of the smaller spaces. One is a moderately themed log flume and the rest are flats.

Between Nasa's Rocket Center and Frontierland the parks offices and the A&S Office and Labs was built.

Pictures later and possibly a download for the park.

Heres the finished park pics:

To start off with heres the completed offices and shop buildings.

Not the greatest picture but you can see the point. The upper left building is the office's on the bottom half and the upper areas serves as extra storage space with a connector to the main shop/warehouse building. As the area is directly between two themed sections a sci-fi theme facade was constructed at the top and left side and a wooden wall on the right.

Next up a selection of photos from the Star Tours makeover.

This happened. Its the first half of the star speeder storage/maintenance bay.

Mostly finished.

This overhang was also added and is slated to be expanded up over the walk way to the other side.

Nasa's Rocket Center:

http://i457.photobucket.com/albums/qq297/tigerace81/Kentucky%20Heights/Shot0131640x480.jpg
Mostly completed area. Just missing the food court off to the right side. Also notice that Predator (now Space Shuttle Atlantis) has yet to receive its refreshment.

The completed Nasa's Rocket Center and about 90% of the entire entrance main walkways.

Nightmare Forest:

http://i457.photobucket.com/albums/qq297/tigerace81/Kentucky%20Heights/Shot0139640x480.jpg
This area sprang up after the Rocket Center's preview ended. It fits the name I'd say.

A closer view. The building over in the top left hand corner is called Haunted Mansion. Its a dark ride with a special little bit of the ride that juts out from the building. Sort of like those carnival dark rides do at state fairs.

This invert is named Dracula. Its quite a thrill ride through Nightmare Forest.

Frontierland:

Thats the overall layout of the area. You can really see how much Moonshine Express was revamped to meet A&S standards.

http://i457.photobucket.com/albums/qq297/tigerace81/Kentucky%20Heights/Shot0145640x480.jpg
The main train station. This area of the park was finished before our offices and labs were built btw

http://i457.photobucket.com/albums/qq297/tigerace81/Kentucky%20Heights/Shot0146640x480.jpg
Heres the second train station.

http://i457.photobucket.com/albums/qq297/tigerace81/Kentucky%20Heights/Shot0151640x480.jpg
The last bit of the section to be built included this themed log flume.

Better shot of Moonshine Express and the area set aside for the next major addition to the park.

And I'll finish up the pictures with a few random shots.

The rest of the last bit of Frontierland to be added.

An overview of the park from above.

And to end here is a view of what its like entering the park.

Just curious, how much lag are you having on this park?

Austin

None. Of course that may be due to my new computer. I maxed out the custom video card and CPU and memory dell offered so Its blazing fast and allows me to play on the highest video settings.

Well that's nice. I'm worried the lag will be too much to play if I download your park, even on small parks I have horrible lag. The screenshots look nice though.

The lag really is a bummer, and I've heard it's a problem for pretty much everyone who doesn't have a new and very powerful computer. I found a recreation of SFMM that looked amazing, probably the best RCT work I've ever seen, but it took 36 hours straight to load on my computer (after it was downloaded), then it had about a 3 minute delay for each click.

^ And thats the reason I don't play RCT3.

The next park will be much smaller. The map is mostly taken up by one giant wooden coaster and then the last coaster i designed. So that one shouldn't make too much lag.

I'm getting back to work on the smaller park today. It will be aimed at families mostly but will have its share of thrill rides.

Also in unrelated news, I will try and make a RCT park of the new Kentucky Kingdom.

I have been working on that for the past week. If you need some help I could send you some files.

I downloaded 2-3 recreations from the past so I wouldn't have to build it all by hand thus taking forever to do but I installed soaked today and it ruined the game so now I have to reinstall RCT3 and then soaked before I patch them. Rrrr -.-
