does anybody remember day 5 alive? some of us are trying to convince administration to bring it back for next year. and also change frightfest back to hallowscream
Loved Day 5 Alive as a guest and as an employee... not going to come back though.. no way, no chance!

I guess I'm too young to remember...but what exactly was Day 5 Alive?
It was a dance party that took place in the ampitheater every friday night... they showed it on TV every saturday morning as well... it was real popular with the kids and was a HUGE security liability. It was fune times though. 1997 was the last year for it.

Were kids getting in fights and stuff? I remember Day 5 Alive, but I never went to it.
I won't get into everything i witnessed.. but lots of fights and gang activity going down... like i said.. i LOVED it as a guest... it was a bit rowdy as an employee.. but still could be fun. Lots of gang fights and whatnot..

I seem to recall there being an incident that made the news regarding that, but maybe I'm thinking of something else.
I'm sure there was.. i don't remember anything offhand.. but i was 12-17 while Day 5 Alive was happening and didn't really care about the news n stuff and was just trying to have fun! I am sure there was less then favorable news stories out of all of this.
SF did try to bring it back as more of a family oriented dance party out in front of the Looney Tunes Store back in 2003 but it didn't last long... nobody ever really showed up for it.. only thing i really remember about it is they had freestyle rap battles.
