Photo Permissions:
Viewing elvisboogens's Chang removal photos was an exercise in frustration. First, I tried viewing his profile, and saw no traces of photo albums on his profile. I registered, and still couldn't see anything. Finally, just a little while ago, I got the activation email, used it, and could finally view it. It took like 12 hours for the activation email to arrive.

After I could finally view it, I tried to show some of the photos to a friend. They weren't able to view it, even when I right-clicked the image and did "Copy Image Location" to send them the direct URL to the file, because of an anti-leech system that protects the files. They were only able to see a blank 1x1 pixel image. I ended up having to screenshot the photos and show them the screenshots.

My advice would be to either change the permissions so non-registered guests can view the user albums, or remove the anti-leech and do something about the delay in getting the validation emails. Those should arrive pretty much instantly, so there's probably something wrong on your server's mail system.

Signatures:
I just tried to put a standard 468x60 banner in my signature, but got a "File too large" error. This is a SMALL 12KB file. Having the limit as low as it is will just aggravate people.

Banner:
I have a Core 2 Duo with 2GB of RAM, and the banner makes the site run painfully slow. Even as I type this, the text input is lagging significantly because the banner keeps trying to freeze my browser.

If I see anything else, I'll post it. Now, I'm not trying to be rude, I'm trying to help out. I've been running a park fansite for nearly 6 years now, so when I see a new site with a lot of potential, I try to help them out so they can grow and be successful. You're doing a pretty good job so far. Improving user experience issues like these is a good way to encourage people to stick around and improve the community.

The banner is only like 200kb. its not creating your computer to lag. I use a 1.5 GB ram, and a Pentium 4 CPU, ive never had any problems with any banners. I think it might be the music player we added for halloween though. Odd that i use a significantly worse computer (technically wise) and it works alright but yours is more advanced and doesnt run correctly. Do you run Firefox?

The signature size isnt small at all. Ill look into it though.

Ill check into the activation and albums also. Your the first to complain about it so im not sure if it got out of whack or something.

Thanks for your advice though. Ill see what i can do to fix these problems

Ok i fixed the album thing. Anyone not-registered or havent been activated have the ability to view any albums.

I checked the signature limits and it should work now. Unless you were trying it as a unactivated member. Which im not sure if that would affect that.

Overall most of the problems you were experiencing should be fixed now.

What is your site?

KIExtreme (http://kiextreme.com/). I had it in my sig but for some reason it just now started showing up.

I don't know why, but I'm still lagging pretty bad. Only thing I can think of is something with the banner, possibly a Safari incompatibility. Any time I mouse over it, or right-click it to see the properties, my browser totally freezes for a minutes.
